Mercury poisoning via ... rice

By now, we know that we should be careful eating fish so we don't end up eating too much mercury.

"But a new study out of China shows that for millions of people at risk of eating toxic amounts of mercury-laced food, fish isn't the problem. Rice is." http://www.sciencenews.org/view/generic/id/58350/title/Mercury_surprise_Rice_can_be_risky

This is in areas in which there is a lot of rice grown and a lot of mercury being mined.

I think I'm going to stick to good old American rice from the Carolinas and Texas.
