Bad storm Friday morning – lots of wind. I wasn’t on the lakefront path, luckily! At the Glenview train station in the evening, ran into Don McQueen, who said he’d been over on the Michigan side earlier in the day, but had returned because the storm knocked down a bunch of trees near the cottage we’d be staying in, and he electricity was out.
It rained again Friday night: cold, rainy and no electricity at a summer (unwinterized) cottage. Maybe a good time to stay home.
Of course, this Saturday morning it is bright and sunny and calm.
They're still without power on the other side of the lake, likely until Monday afternoon. I cancelled a trip there, too.
