Last week Mitt Romney spoke to the NRA convention and tried to convince them that he really, really is sincere about 2nd amendment rights. It was a skeptical audience, suspicious of his lifetime NRA membership (conveniently acquired just as he began to run for President) and his record as Massachusetts governor.
Seeking more credibility, perhaps, we have today’s headline:
“Mitt Romney sent a curt message to President Barack Obama today: "Start packing."
The message, delivered with a chuckle, came in an exclusive interview with "World News" anchor Diane Sawyer “
Now, I admit it would be a lot cheaper and more exciting if Mitt and Barak just had a gunfight on Pennsylvania Avenue at high noon, January 20, 2013, but that’s not what the Constitution specifies.
Or, maybe…
Or maybe this is friendly advice to Barak, given the current scandal within the Secret Service. If they are off cavorting with prostitutes, maybe Barak should start packing heat for his own protection?
