I had my choice of gift premiums from being a Chicago Tribune digital subscriber. I know these types of gifts are subsidized by those providing the gifts, but this is ridiculous. The “gift” has to be used in the next two weeks. It was labeled a “gift” but it’s only valid if I spend at least another $45. And when I chose the Target gift, I thought maybe I’d get some music (no) or a book (no) or at least some diapers for my upcoming grandson (no).
Probably none of the other “gifts” were any better than this. I realize now I just got suckered into thinking this actually was a reward.
