Will this be the only National Park open this weekend?

Another government shutdown. And the first of many budget deadlines in Washington between now and the end of the year.  Doesn’t look good.

So, why is there a national park in Morton Grove, Illinois?  The parks in Morton Grove are named after streets – Shermer Park is on Shermer Road,  Mansfield Park is at the end of Mansfield Avenue, and so forth.  This park is between Marion Avenue and National Avenue, so someone with a sense of humor named it National Park instead of Marion Park.
