Vice president of beauty

One of the greatest job titles I've seen is held by Cheryl Mahoney of the drug chain CVS -- vice president of beauty. She's the second from right in this photo from Drug Store News.

"Vice president of beauty" probably means you are running the area of the store formerly known as "cosmetics", but "vice president of cosmetics" just doesn't have the same feel -- or the same expectations.

I wonder about those expectations. Can the vice president of beauty afford a bad hair day? Do you have to take short-term disability if you get a bit of acne? What kind of jokes do you have to listen to at parties?

On second thought, the title sounds like a burden.
