A lot of college rankings never get down deep enough in the pile to rank my undergraduate institution: UMSL, the University of Missouri at St. Louis. Forbes didn't, for example. So I was interested to see if UMSL was on Washington Monthly's list.
UMSL did make the list. However, it ranked 254 out of 258 universities (so few because only universities were ranked on this list, not colleges).
"Washington Monthly's 2009 national university college rankings ... [are] based on their contribution to the public good" I guess they don't think producing me contributed much to the public good.
