The problem with pink for girls is that it's often ONLY pink for girls, and every other color for boys. At the gun range I went shooting at the other day, they had a "ladies package" which included a pink AK (with Hello Kitty stickers on it) and pink ear-protection.
(By AK she presumably means an AK-47 machine gun.)
