Degrading, but still signal

I write this while listening to one of the great cultural works of man: Beethoven's 3rd Symphony (Eroica).

But I'm listening on my speakerphone of my Blackberry. It's a podcast from Aspen Public Radio from some weeks ago. I'm not sure, but I think the conductor was Fritz Crisler (long dead, which means the musicians probably are as well and the recording was originally on analog). I'm in a low-end chain hotel in Connecticut.

I don't care. It still sounds good.
