Would you like a job defending the banking industry?

I've been getting comments like this on my blog recently.  These aren't spam comments; the sentiment is reasonable, although skewed toward the banking industry.  The odd thing is that this is a comment on a post I did in September, 2008 and some of the other recent comments are on older blog posts.

It's almost as if there is some group out there hired to find blog postings on particular topics (e.g. banks) and write comments favorable to their clients on these blogs. In fact, I suspect that's exactly what it is.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "Paperless bank statements":

Don't forget that government regulations have but a serious dent in what banks are allowed to charge for their services and thus banks revenues are going down instead of up. The savings in sending electronic statements is not nearly enough to cover the lost revenue.

There has been tremendous growth of banking sector with many job opportunities and large number of jobseekers in bank industry. Thanks for sharing us a great information that is actually helpful.

  2. I'd delete these bogus comments, but I keep thinking maybe there's somebody who has a job doing this. I'd hate for them to lose their highly paid job in financial services.
