Neither for governor

In Illinois, we are faced with a choice between a sleazy incumbent Democrat, Rod Blagojevich and an apparently blind Republican, Judy Baar Topinka, who never noticed anything about George Ryan (or Alan Keyes!!) that she didn't like.

This choice is so distasteful that my wife suggested we put a sign in the front yard that said "None of the Above for Governor".

"None of the Above" didn't fit, so the sign says

NEITHER
for Governor
Neither Deserves Your Support!

So far, three neighbors have responded positively, none negatively -- which possibly puts Neither's approval rating in this neighborhood higher that either Rod or Judy's.

There's actually another candidate in the race, Rich Whitney of the Green party, who's getting 8% on the pre-election surveys. I never heard of him before, and was only dimly aware Illinois had a Green party, but I'll probably vote for him anyway.

I'm voting for Rich Whitney. He's obviously the best candidate in this race, and I think that he might actually win this election!

According to the most recent Zogby poll, Rich Whitney is now registering in the double digits!
